Here’s a great story. You never know how you can touch the life of others without even knowing. A few years ago you trained our Westminster SWAT team at the Surefire facility. You provided combative’s training and edged weapons training for us. One of the things you showed us was how to disarm someone with a knife by grabbing the wrist of their weapon hand and then grabbing the knife blade and twisting the knife out of their hand. Read More I thought that was pretty neat so I showed my brother at a party a few weeks later. I even had him come at me with a steak knife so I could show him how effective it was. He was amazed and he ended up showing the technique to a guy he met through little league as a coach. The guy’s name was Eric Wall and he was a fellow coach on the same team. Last week, Eric Wall awoke to a nude man standing over his bed with a knife. He remembered what my brother showed him and he grabbed the man’s wrist and pried the knife from his hand before he could be seriously hurt. After disarming the intruder, Eric and his teenage son put some serious hurt on the guy and called the police. In the end there were no serious injuries and the suspect went to jail. The suspect said he was sent by the Antichrist to kill the family. Very strange. Eric called my brother and told him that he saved his family by telling him about the “knife trick”. I think he is taking him to dinner next week to thank him. I just thought you should know that the little trick you taught us was passed on and probably saved the life on an entire family. Good stuff.
